Save the Date: REGISTRATION DUE: February 1, 2014 EVENT DAY: February 21, 2014 Reduced Price: $32.50 per person (youth and adult) because of our long-standing partnership with the Science Museum they have generous offered us a reduced rate that saves us $10 per person. Theme: Star Wars THEME DESCRIPTION: “Dress as your favorite Jedi Knight, jump to hyperspace to save the princess and head to a galaxy far, far away. Join SMO as we go deep into the science of light sabers and explore the forces of both Isaac Newton and Yoda! May the Forces be with you!” IMAX Movie: Rescue www.rescue-film.com --------------------------------------- Tentative Schedule Friday Evening 6:00-7:00 Check-in and free time (Bring your stuff in a plastic bag with your name on it) 7:00 Science LIVE Science Live Theatre 8:30-9:15 Dome Movie Dome Theatre 9:30-10:15 Planetarium Show Planetarium 10:15-12:00 Activity TablesMezzanine Saturday Morning 6:15 Rise and Shine!!! 7:00 Breakfast is Served 8:15 Depart Museum!! http://www.sciencemuseumok.org/ GENERAL INFORMATION What to wear Comfortable clothes, such as sweat pants and t-shirts are recommended. Wear clothes that you can sleep in. Comfortable shoes are a must! What to bring • Sleeping bag, pillow, floor mat (the floors are hard!) • Personal toiletries • Everything the camper brings should be stored in one large bag (a strong trash bag or duffle bag works well). The outside of the bag should be clearly marked with the camper’s name and group affiliation. What NOT to bring • No radios, iPods, televisions, or electrical appliances. • Nonessential items are discouraged such as jewelry, stuffed animals, etc. The museum cannot take any responsibility for lost or stolen items. Meals The museum provides a light breakfast in the morning. Groups may bring their own brown bag dinners and/or snacks. A snack bar will be available. Arrival and Departure Except for group leaders, no participants should arrive before the scheduled check-in time. Security must check an empty building before the camp-in. Early arrivals must wait outside until registration begins. Group leaders should arrive in time to assist with registration. We will need an exact count of all adults and children entering the building. Checkout the following morning is no later than 8:30 a.m. Registration and checkout is via the East Entrance of the Science Museum unless notified otherwise. 24 Hour Telephone Contact Emergency calls may be directed to: East Entrance Desk (Night Supervisor) (405) 602-3725 Science Museum Bright Night Office (405) 602-3716 Science Museum Security Cell: (405) 426-7057 Those calling should be prepared to give the name of the person they need to contact and the group that he or she is affiliated with. Security and Safety Considerations Museum staff or a security guard should be contacted for assistance or first-aid. The Science Museum is required to meet strict safety and fire codes. Three security guards are on duty throughout the Bright Night. Additional police and fire protection are minutes away. Smoking Smoking is not allowed in the building. Smokers may, upon notifying the Night Supervisor stationed at the east entrance, smoke outside the west entrance doors.
