Share The Fun -- February 2, 2013

Expressive Arts is the 4-H project that is showcased at the Share The Fun Contest.  Enter as an individual, small group or large group.  This event is for Senior entries only and entries must qualify from the County level to compete. 

Public Speaking Contest -- March 28, 2013

All 4-H youth are encouraged to prepare and present a speech at the Public Speaking Contest!  Illustrated talks, Demonstrations, PowerPoint Presentations or Famous Person -- you pick the style and get involved! 

Shooting Sports

The Shooting Sports Project is one of the most popular among 4-H members.  Youth must pass the hunter education course before they can participate in this project.  Check out this page to learn more about the District contests held each year!

Livestock Judging -- April 2, 2013

Dutch Oven Showdown

The SE District is conducting the Dutch Oven Showdown again  in 2013!  Teams of 3 4-H'ers can team up and create dishes that represent a theme of their choosing using only dutch ovens.  .  

Food Showdown

The Food Showdown is patterned after the Iron Chef TV program and involves teams of three youth.  The team is provided specific ingredients and have 45 minutes to develop a recipe, create the dish, and prepare a presentation.  A common pantry is also available to allow teams to use their creativity even further to turn their recipe into an amazing culinary treat!

Horse Show

The Disrict 4-H Horse Show is open to members 9-19 on May 1st, current year. It is held in Ardmore at the Hardy Murphy Colsieum. This is a two day show held in June with Speed events ran on the first day and Performance and Halter classes held on the second day.

Parent-Volunteer Conference

The District Parent Volunteer Conference is an educational program that gives volunteers, parents,and teens the opportunity to attend workshops and programs to help them back at the local and county level.

Animal Science Field Day

Whether you have a livestock project or not, you can take advantage of this educational field day and learn about livestock species and much more!  The District Animal Science Field Day is open to all youth 9-19, parents and leaders. It's primary focus is to teach youth more about the animal nutrition, feeds, ethics, equipment I.D., Animal Health, and the facts about agriculture

FCS Skills Day

The FCS Skills Day provides an opportunity for youth to participate in workshops to learn about the FCS Skill-A-Thon and Food Showdown. 

Leadership L.E.A.P.

This event is for 4-H members ages 11-13!  The one day leadership training coordinated and conducted by the SE District Officers, SEDAT, State Ambassadors and State Council is sure to be a day filled with fun workshops, a great speaker, and more!  Come and be ready to jump start your leadership potential by learning from current teen leaders! 

District Leadership Conference -- October 16-18, 2013

DLC is for 4-H'ers age 13 - 19 who want to learn more about leadership and develop life skills that will help them throughout their life. This event is held during Fall Break.
