County, District, and State 4-H events and activities are listed here under the respective headings. The date listed is the date the event will take place. However, the entry/registration dates vary and will be listed on paperwork. These dates are in place for good reason so please pay close attention and turn in on time.

County Events

County Council Meetings-open to all county 4-H members-First monday of the month at 6 pm at the Extension office unless posted otherwise.

Clover Bud Meetings- for youth ages 5-8 enrolled in 4-H as a Clover Bud- Bi-Monthly at 6 pm on the Third Thursday at the Extension Office unless posted otherwise. 

Communications Contest- January 27th, 2020- Shawnee Middle School. Registration due January 6th. Check in- 5:30pm, Contest 6pm.

Tri-County 4-H Camp (Pottawatomie, Pontotoc, and Carter counties)- May 26-28, 2020 (Tentative)- Camp Big Cedars in Wanette, OK

  • Camper Registration-due April 30th (Tentative)
  • Camp Scholarship Application
  • Camp Counselor Application- due March 16th, 2020. (Ages 14+) Must have attended camp before to apply. Applicants must attend Tri-County camp counselor training lock in on March 27th-28th, 2020 in Ada.

Citizenship

Change for Change- collect change for the Oklahoma Children's Hospital Foundation. Drop off change at the Extension office to donate toward Change for Change.

Pull for Kids- collect metal can tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. To donate, drop tabs off at the extension office in a Ziplock bag.
