News and Important information for Pottawatomie Co. 4-H members and families.

Most Important

Get enrolled!  If you have not enrolled & payed the $20 fee you are not an active 4-H member.  If you are not sure you have enrolled please double check! You are responsible for You. Enroll using 4-H Online

Volunteers: as meeting are being conducted have a sign in sheet and the Extension Office can check to make sure all kids that sign in are active 4-H members. We don’t want kids to be left out because they have not enrolled.

County Council-Fall Party: Monday, November 6th
        All county members are welcome, please join us for food and fun!

Poinsettia Sale Fundraiser
       The time is here for poinsettia sales! All members have the opportunity to sell poinsettias for the       holiday season, sales start November 1st and are due November 20th. This is a County fundraiser and prizes may be awarded for top sales!

Oklahoma 4-H Foundation & Amazon

  • Tecumseh 4-H club is hosting “Baking a pie for the Holidays” on November 20th from 2-4 pm at Tecumseh City Hall in conjunction with the Friends of the Library program. PCJLS Dress Code

Nominations are December 14th 8:00-4:00 @ Heart of OK Expo Shawnee, OK

Swine are REQUIRED to nominate for OYE (Oklahoma Youth Expo).
Rather than physically be at the nominations, OYE nomination paperwork will be turned in. Must provide proof of blood test done by vet.

Goat, Sheep, Steer Nomination Kits must be ordered and payed for by Thursday October 26th

Swine Nomination Kits must be ordered and payed for by Thursday November 30th
(All Swine that plan on showing at PCJLS Must Nominate for OYE)

                                    Oklahoma City Gun Club Main Clubhouse

                        Advanced training for county shooting sports coaches. Coaches certified in both shooting                           disciplines can attend both trainings. Lunch proved as part of registration fee.

Cloverbuds

  • Cloverbuds will meet Thursday November 16th at 6p.m. at the Extension Office. Open to youth ages 5-8. Snack, game, and educational program provided.  

Volunteers

 Certified Volunteers and Club Leaders: please remember that you are required to complete four trainings per year. (Working with Minors, Title IV, & IX are not included in the four.)

  • National 4-H Volunteer e-Forum

The Southeast District is hosting three National 4-H Volunteer Trainings this Fall which consist of web based instruction by a guest speaker and hands on activities and discussion at local sites.

The last e-forum is on December 7th, 2017 hosted by Murray County in Sulphur. Pre-registration is required. The topic will be Helping 4-H’ers Grow in Life and Work.
