Co-Parenting for Resilience

A program for parents experiencing separation and/or divorce and those who may be seeking custody, visitation or paternity of minor children.

This class content includes information on child development and parenting techniques to help parents help their children adjust to their changing family lifestyle.  The immediate and long term effects of divorce on children, communicating with children and the co-parent, and shared parenting time are discussed.  Participants will receive practical research based information from handouts, videos, and discussion.  Families are referred to literature, support, OSU Extension classes, and other sources of information for Co-Parenting for Resilience.  The cost of the Co-Parenting classes provided by the Pittsburg County Cooperative Extension Services is $30.00 (cash, checks, money orders, or cashier checks).  Participants will receive:  (1) Vicky Lansky's Divorce Book for Parents (2) Parents Resilience Materials Packet and (3) Certificate of Completion.

Standing Dates Monthy:

1st Tuesday of month - 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location:  OSU Extension Service Auditorium, 707 West Electric Avenue, McAlester, Oklahoma

*Note:  Registration and payment must be received by Pittsburg County Extension Service four (4) days prior to the scheduled meeting.
