Horticulture Seminars Offered at OSU Extension

            August is probably the hottest month of the year, but it’s still time to think about gardening.  Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service is conducting several horticultural workshops in August.

On August 3rd, Thursday, OSU Extension will offer “Starting Vegetable Transplants” seminar.  This program will start at 1:30 pm and will be presented by Ray Ridlen, Oklahoma County Extension Horticulture Educator. The workshop will be held at the Oklahoma County OSU Extension Conference Center, located at 2500 NE 63rd Street in Oklahoma City.

The next featured workshop will be on August 16th, “Lawn Care”.   This workshop will focus on basic tips for starting and maintaining your grass.  Then on August 31st, “Raised Beds”, which will give gardener’s an alternative to gardening the traditional way.

All of the horticulture seminars will be held at the OSU Extension Conference Center from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm with a $5.00 charge for each workshop.  If interested in attending these seminars, secure your spot by mailing registration fee of $5.00 each to OSU Extension Center, 2500 NE 63rd Street, OKC, OK 73111.  Walk-ins are also welcome.
