FORUM OPEN TO PUBLIC – “How Should We Reduce Obesity in America?”
The Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) organization of Oklahoma County is hosting a Deliberative Forum: “How Should We Reduce Obesity in America?” The forum will be held on April 21st, 2017 at the OSU Extension Conference Center located at 2500 NE 63rd Street, OKC, OK 73111. The forum will begin at 1:00 pm and ending at 3:30 pm.
Obesity continues to be a major health concern in the United States. As a community what can we do to address this problem? The OHCE organization has experience in conducting deliberative forums and would like to get input from the community on their ideas.
If interested in attending the forum, it is required to read the issue guide beforehand to give participants background information needed to start the conversation. A moderator helps keep everyone on track and a recorder puts ideas on the board as everyone explores different ways to work together for the common good.
Advance registration is required by April 12th and space is limited. Registration fee is $3.00 which covers the cost of the required issue guide compiled by the National Issues Forum Institute.
The forum is being hosted by OHCE in partnership with OSU Cooperative Extension Service. To register for this forum, please contact the Oklahoma County OSU Extension Service at 405-713-1125. To learn more about OHCE, please visit our website at http://oces.okstate.edu/oklahoma/.
