McClain County

Chick Embryo Program

The OSU Extension Service 4-H School Enrichment Program is currently taking orders for chicken eggs to be hatched in county school classrooms.  The eggs are provided by the OSU Extension Office.  In addition to the eggs, the Extension Office has a limited number of incubators that will be loaned out on a first come first serve basis

The 4-H Chick Embryo Program is one of the county’s most popular school enrichment offerings because it can be adaptable to all ages whether it be a kindergarten classroom or a high school biology lab.  Teaching guides are also available for teachers who are new to the program..

Teachers wishing to participate in the program should contact the OSU Extension Office at (405) 527-2174 to reserve eggs and an incubator if needed.
