Pasture & Range Management Meeting Scheduled

Do you ever wonder how much fertilizer you should be applying to your hay meadow?  Or you may be trying to figure out how to control sandburs in your Bermuda grass.  These questions and many others will be answered this Monday, October 18th at a free meeting for area landowners, sponsored by Logan County OSU Extension Office and Logan County NRCS office.  This Pasture and Range Management producer focused program will be held on October 18, 2010 in the Education Building on the Logan County Fairgrounds.  A free lunch will be served at 12 o’clock noon and the educational portion of the program will follow.  This program will cover information that applies to not only large acreages, but small acreages as well.  Topics being covered include: “Nutrient management for improved grasses and native range,” “Pasture weed identification,” “Carrying capacity & stocking rates,” and ‘Herbicide options for controlling weed species.” Please call the Logan County Extension Office at 282-3331 to RSVP for this informative program.
