District Leadership Conference (must be 13 or older)
To provide opportunities for youth to participate in leadership training that will help them develop stronger 4-H programs in their community, county, or state. To offer opportunities for youth to make new friends, share experiences and establish individual goals. To involve youth in learning experiences that will afford specific skills and information in areas of interest as well as leadership and citizenship and provide inspiration for promoting 4-H. Held in October each year.News Eagle (must be 14 years and older)
Must submit folder consisting of OK Report Form and 4-H story submitted for state 4-H Record Book evaluation. Winners will be selected based on evaluation of state 4-H folders submitted from the NW District, with emphasis on project, activities and leadership roles.District Share-The-Fun
Selected from County Share-The-Fun winners.District Trap Shoot (10-12 year olds)
Must have been regularly practicing with designated county shooting sports coach. Must have completed 4-H state certification and have Hunter Safety Card.District Horse Camp
This event is a 2-night camp held somewhere within the district. This is a weekend activity to learn basic horsemanship skills (including ethics, safety, leave no trace, outdoor cooking, trail ride) while having fun.District Horse Show
Competitive event for 4-H'ers in the Horse Program. Held in June.Junior 4-H Science Camp-In
This camp is a one night lock-in at a hands-on science museum/facility. Usually held in May.Oakwood Mall Day
Held in January of each year in Enid. 4-H'ers may participate in working displays, fashion show, talent presentation, and/pr mini-float parade. Any 4-H member and family are encouraged to participate or be a spectator.
