The Harmon County meeting will be held at the Gould Community Center from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Jackson County meeting will be held at the Jackson County OSU Extension Office from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Free meals will be served at each meeting.

This crop production meeting will primarily address cotton and sorghum topics.
Sep 21, 2016 Enlist and Phytogen Variety Field Tour 2016 (Southwest Research and Extension Center, located 3 miles south of Altus on Highway 283, from Sep 21, 2016 10:00 AM to Sep 21, 2016 01:00 PM)
This meeting will discuss the Enlist Weed Control System coming in 2017 as well as PhytoGen cotton varieties. A sponsored lunch will be served.
Sep 29, 2016 Jackson, Greer, and Harmon Counties Cotton Tours - 2016 (County Farmer Cotton Production Fields, from Sep 29, 2016 08:00 AM to Sep 29, 2016 03:30 PM)
This first two tours will be on the Clint Abernathy Farms. Starting at 8 a.m. the tour group will meet at the Cotton Incorporated Enhanced Variety Trial located 1 mile south of County Road South (CRS) 209 and 62 east intersection. The trial is located in the SE corner of CR 209 and East County Road (ECR) 165 intersection. The tour group will then move 1 mile north of highway 62 and CRS 209 to the intersection of CRS 209 and ECR 163. The dryland R.A.C.E. trial is located in the NE corner of this intersection. These tours will end by 10 a.m. The next tour will start at 10:30 a.m. on the Drew Darby Farm located approximately 2.5 miles west of Duke on highway 62. Turn south on N1880 Road and go 1.1 miles, the Irrigated Cotton R.A.C.E. trial is on the east side of the road. The last tour of the day will start at 2 p.m. in Harmon County on the Tony Cox Farm. This Cotton Xtendflex R.A.C.E. trial is located 1.6 miles north of highway 62 and N 1680 road intersection. These cotton field tours are open to all area cotton production farmers.

This meeting will look at cotton harvest management options, variety trials, and weed control options. Dry-land tillage and cropping system field trial data (to present) and alternative crops including guar and sesame will also be discussed. **Please look at meeting flier for starting point of opening field tour
