Welcome to Jackson County Extension
Jackson County's Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service is dedicated to serving the citizens of Jackson County by providing research-based educational opportunities. As a part of the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources of Oklahoma State University (OSU), the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OCES) mission is to provide unbiased, research-based information and education through a statewide system of county offices staffed by Extension Educators. OCES is a community-based, educational network, with offices in all seventy-seven counties.
Extension Educators offer educational programs to improve the lives of Oklahomans in the following areas: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Community and Rural Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H & Youth Development. OCES offers educational and technical assistance to decision-makers and communities in promoting economic development and providing quality services. In cooperation with other agencies, OCES coordinates strategic planning workshops to help communities assess their needs and devise solutions.
