4-H’ers Explore Performing Arts with “Share-The-Fun”

4-H’ers from Haskell County recently participated in the annual Share-the-Fun Program at McCurtain Public Schools Auditorium, Saturday January 28th. The Haskell County 4-H Share-the-Fun program is a talent and skit event involving all ages of youth, 5-19 years of age. Share-the-Fun is an opportunity for 4-H members to get on stage and “share -the-fun” with other 4-H members, as they develop poise, self-confidence and skill by appearing before an audience with their talented performances. Haskell County 4-H Teen Leaders served as master of ceremonies and assisted performers backstage with props. Over thirty 4-Hers performed on stage;
Junior Solos:
Grand Champion: went to Bayleigh Palmer with “White Liar”
Reserve Champion went to Trenton Orr with his solo performance of Get Back Up Again
Lylah Warren with “Cat Walk” and Alex Dixon with “Baggage Claim” also performed.
Junior Small Acts:
Grand Champion: Skiler Farmer, Paiden Arnwine, Bayleigh Palmer and Brylea Cooper with the “Monkey Act”.
Reserve Grand Champion: Harley Mills, Abby Bond and Liza Warren with “Shut Up”.
Also performing were: Emilee Myers, Paul Jeffery and Savannah Williams with “Captain, Oh, Captain”. Cody Dill, Noah Horton and Matthew Blaylock with “Bully Be Gone”. Ethan Satterfield, Bruce Mahnken, Trenton Orr and Ryder Lovell with “Echo Valley”.
Junior Large Act
Grand Champion: Rachel Myers, Lylah Warren, Mattie Byrd, Trenton Orr and Kevin Cox with the “Crying Skit”.
Senior Individual Acts
Grand Champion: Tarah Satterfield with “Defying Gravity”.
Reserve Champion: Megan Orr with “So You Can Hear My Heart”
Tyler Satterfield performed with a standup comedy routine
Senior Small Group Act
Grand Champion: Brother and Sister duo, Tarah and Tyler Satterfield performed with “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better”.
Senior Large Group Act
Grand Champion: Haskell County Performing Arts Club members, Tarah Satterfield, Megan Orr, Lyndall Warren, Tyler Satterfield, Levi Warren and Devin Blaylock performed “Blue Trolls”.
The Senior Grand Champion Acts advanced to the Southeast District 4-H Share-The-Fun Event held February 4th in Wetumka. Tarah Satterfield placed 9th with her solo performance and the Senior large group placed 4th. 4-H has many opportunities for youth interested in performing arts and beyond!
