The Delaware County Oklahoma Cooperative Extension office provides a direct link to Oklahoma State University and the latest research-based information available through the land-grant university system.  The information provided covers a wide variety of subjects -- from home gardening, to nutrition for infants and the elderly, to raising cattle on wheat pasture, to increasing tourism in Oklahoma.  These represent only a fraction of the subjects included in the Cooperative Extension's programs.

The Extension Center's educational programs touch almost every aspect of life and are designed to enhance the quality of life for all Oklahomans.  The programs are organized into four major areas:

* Agriculture

* Family and Consumer Sciences

* 4-H Youth Development

* Rural Development

* Oklahoma Health and Community Education (OHCE) organization

You may also choose to visit the Delaware County Extension Center located four miles north of Jay at the North end of the Delaware County Fair Building for a wide variety of fact sheets, circulars and videotapes.  Workshops, demonstrations and field trips provide information to the public, as well as newsletters and news articles announcing programs and meetings.  Most of our services are available at little or no cost.
