Moore
Ten Students from the OSU School of Business assisted three downtown business re-merchandise some of their inventory. The intent of the Retail Merchandising project is to assist businesses re-display some of the product while at the same time giving the students practical experience in the retail field.
Participating business included Moore Vacuum, Your Fired Ceramics, and Country Collections by Hart.
Each business had at least three students assigned to it. The students diagrammed their plans for the stores and forwarded them to the businesses. After arriving in Moore, the students went about the task of reconfiguring the product for the business. The project is a large portion of the students grade in the Retail class.
Vickie Dunn of Your Fired Ceramics said "the students did a great job and assisted me in redisplaying and area in the front of my store."
The students volunteered their time and their was no material cost to the businesses.
