Family and Consumer Science educators provide Oklahomans with the skills, knowledge, and education needed to make their health, nutrition, family, leadership skills, and financial planning stronger.

Current Programs Available
Free Food Preparation and Nutrition Classes
Parents 1, 2,3,4
For parents of toddlers. The program teaches parents the fundamental attitudes and skill necessary for parent of young children: non-violent discipline skills, encouragement skills, prevention techniques and basic developmental stages from ages one to four.
Active Parenting NOW
For parents of children ages 5 to 12. The three session program will show you effective ways to … use non-violent discipline techniques that work, improve communication with your children, teach responsibility and other important values, cope with difficult topics, defuse power struggles, stimulate independence as your child grows older and encourage your children to be their very best.
Healthy Oklahoma--targeting school aged children, ages 9-13. Topics Covering: basic nutrition, portion sizes, food safety, food preparation and increased physical activities.
OHCE Extension C.A.F.E. (Catch A Fast Education) held the third Thursday of each month, 12:00 noon. Choctaw County Extension Service, 415 E. Rena, Hugo, OKlahoma.
