The Beaver County OSU Extension Office will be offering summer workshops to all Beaver County Youth 8-18 years of age as of August 4, 2018. The workshops will start on June 4th and run through June 27th. All workshops will be held in the Beaver OSU Extension Conference Room except for STEM, Woodworking & Tractor Safety Certification, to be held at the Beaver Fairgrounds. All workshop forms are due to the Extension Office no later than Friday, May 4th. Forms are available at the Extension office or online at:

All 4-H’ers are invited to participate in an upcoming Beaver County 4-H Horse Project Meeting on June 17th at 3:00pm. The group will meet every 3rd Sunday of the month at the Beaver Fairground’s Arena. If you have a horse you can bring it, but if you do not, you are still encouraged to participate. A negative coggins will be required on all horses. All participants must have a parent or guardian in attendance. For more information please contact Phillip Bruton at 806-282-2251.

Join the fun at 4-H Camp on June 18-20 to be held at the NW Baptist Assembly Campgrounds near Vici. This year’s theme is: 4-H Is The Real Deal. Camper registration is from 2:00-3:00pm on June 18th with camp being dismissed on June 20th at 11:30am. You'll get to stay in air-conditioned cabins, make new friends, go swimming, make crafts, play games, eat, and have fun.  We're making plans for Movie Night, Zip Lining, Cupcake Wars, Pool Games, Scavenger Hunt and Counselor Lead Craft Workshops. The cost of camp is $50, but the office will pay $20 for early bird registration, making your cost only $30. If you would like to attend, but do not have the funds, we will be offering scholarships. Please contact the Extension Office for more info. Contact the office for registration forms and more details! Registration will be due to the Extension Office by Friday, June 1st. Forms are available online at: Camp is free for counselors. If you are 14 years of age and would like to be a camp counselor, please contact our office ASAP. All counselors will be required to help lead workshops.

OBJECTIVES: Understand - Understanding your role in positive youth development Nourish - Physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially nourish yourself and the youth and families we serve through the 4-H experience Ignite - Light a spark of enthusiasm for the 4-H experience Teach - Learning to learn and then passing along the interest to learning Empower - Growing leaders - learning how to encourage, share and nurture leadership in a club, project group or committee Early bird registration $40 – Registration and payment due on or before May 25th to the State 4-H Office. Make check payable to 4-H Conferences. T-shirt – $15. NO shirt orders after May 25th. Check payable to 4-H Foundation. State 4-H Roundup will take place on the Oklahoma State University campus July 24-27. This year’s theme is Capture Your Moments – Develop Your Future! State 4-H Roundup will be opportunities for youth to learn in a hands-on, engaging manner, while focusing on life skill development. Delegates will have a chance to take part in a wide variety of educational workshops. During the Honor Night Assembly, the top three club members in each project area will proudly walk across the stage before the winner is announced. By the time the evening is over, Oklahoma 4-H’ers will walk away with about $140,000 in educational scholarships, thanks to the generosity of many donors. Registration forms with a $175.00 registration fee is due to the Beaver County OSU Extension Office by Friday, June 1st. Registration materials is available at:
