Free Household Water Testing Program

Who is eligible:

Every household in Alfalfa County that has a water well used for household consumption. (Limit 1 test per household)

 Process:

· Pick-up water bottle & instructions from the Alfalfa County Extension Office and the forms.

· Return water sample to the Alfalfa County ExtensionFree Household Water Testing Program Office before June 27th.

 Results:

Will be mailed back to each household with the following information test results, Sodium,

Sulfate, Calcium, Chloride, Magnesium, Nitrate Nitrogen, Potassium, pH, Hardness, Electrical Conductivity, and Total Soluble Salts.

 The water test you will receive WILL NOT test for Bacteria. Water samples must be sent into the Department of Environmental Quality for Bacteria tests. If you would like a Bacteria test, we can help you with that process and the cost is $20.00.
